PRIOR TO FIRST SESSION?

You will be requested to complete a COVID-19/General health questionnaire and a Pre-session questionnaire which will help us to understand what challenges you are facing and your end goal.

WHAT HAPPENS AT THE FIRST SESSION?

You will be greeted by your therapist and escorted to the consulting/treatment room.

The main aim of the first session is to review your questionnaire, build an understanding of what the issues are and establish your desired outcome.

The therapist will then outline a proposed program and work with you to address your issues and implement change.

At the end of each session you will have time to review and provide feedback.

Dependant on the nature of your treatment you might require further sessions, this can be discussed with your therapist and booked accordingly.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

The duration of the appointment is 1 hour, but occasionally this can be extended to 1.5 hours at the discretion of the therapist, but the session fee will not be affected.

Some treatments are faster to achieve results than others and only require a short period of time to alleviate the issue, but others take a little longer. We always ensure we move at a pace that is suitable for you. Often clients notice a significant change in the first couple of sessions. If you are looking to address mental health issues, we recommend a session once a week at the start then reducing it to fortnightly/once a month once you feel more comfortable.

Your therapist can give you an idea of what can be achieved in different time periods.

Throughout your treatment you will be provided with videos, worksheets and literature to enable you to stay on track and reach your goal.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM LATE, MISS OR CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?

Late attendance for an appointment may not guarantee a full session.

If you need to make any adjustments to your appointment times or dates, we request they are made as early as possible to create flexibility for other clients.

Late cancellations and missed appointments are payable in full unless 48 hours notice is given.

In order to create change within yourself and obtain the results you want it requires 100% commitment.

You will need to fully commit to the process and be open to new strategies.

You will also need to be prepared to set time aside for appointments as regular attendance is required for you to benefit from our therapy.
